I only started running again Saturday (8 Aug) when my blister from the orthotics dried up sufficiently. Not really a full blown run but a walk cum run up Kiara with my nephew, who got his first pair of running shoes.
The blister continues to cause slight discomfort from the orthotics but tolerable because the healing process had commenced. I'm (a little, I guess) different from the rest - once that part of the skin blisters, it will not do so again; and therefore on this very Kiara outing, I entertained thoughts that the orthotics indeed needed no adjustment. Nisa promptly dismissed this thought and told me to take them back because she was experiencing discomfort on her left middle toe as well.
How are the orthotics so far? They press up on my sole..excessively, I think. This is probably a good thing because pronation is prevented. Orthotics has nothing to do with comfort so that bit goes out of the window. I am experiencing aches in my legs because different (and the proper) muscles have now been fired up to match the gait. All in, I am taking it in my stride.

Oh gosh, speaking of which I have not tried running with my newly tweaked insoles. Which means, I must go running tomorrow, by hook or by crook!
