Better than most..

Ok – that was a golf commentary phase to describe a Tiger Woods putt that broke 3 ways on the 17th at TPC Sawgrass before it fell into the cup. And no, golf has not gotten back into my life although the challenge of hitting the ball longer does loom on the horizon.

This was the very phase that came into my mind a few minutes ago when I wanted to describe the dinner Nisa prepared last night. Fact of the matter is that it was the best I have ever had; even better than Mom-inlaw, which is saying a lot really. It was simple, yet bursting with flavours. The vegetables were sweet, slightly crunchy with the prawns providing a subtle blend of taste to garnish the dish. Flavourful too. Oh, and the main dish was just perfect!! Tasty, not too oily and every mouthful reminded me of the KL home. I actually shouted with surprised when I saw what was on the table last night and I could tell Nisa was quietly, contently, pleased. Even Jamie ate more than his usual portions (which is really small, but that’s something else we’ll be working on).

The home is where the family does everything together. For a long time, it was KL but with the meal the transition was complete. We sat together and eat a wonderful meal. After the meal, Jamie was all over the house, with his swimming costume wrapped around his neck, and the rest flapping behind him. When I asked what he was, he said he was “Sparta”!! Yes, he had watched the movie “300” in the afternoon and has been walking around like that, bare-bodied and all, all day. What a boy!!
